E'RE MOVING!The WIIDGET Source is pulling up stakes and moving east. As of June 2, 2008, the official business address will be 510 Charmany Drive, Suite 175A in the MG&E Innovation Center at UW Research Park. Our phone and fax numbers will remain the same as will e-mail and the website.
There are two main reasons behind the move: The WIDGET Source's silver anniversary and an emphasis on "going green". Much has changed in the twenty-five years that we've been in business. When we started, you needed a good sized office with desks, phones, a typewriter and catalogs. Lots and lots of catalogs. When someone came to the office looking for a widget, you gave them a stack of catalogs to look through and perhaps a few sample pieces to show off to others. Today, e-mails, online search engines and virtual spec samples have sped up the process while dramatically reducing the need for office space. But while we've embraced the technology, we clung to the old concept of an office…until now.
The "green" movement is something that we've taken personally. We've devoted a lot of time to investigating what "green" truly means with regards to promotional products and to running a business. Our research has put us in a great position to help you make "greener" choices when deciding how to promote your business. It's also spurred us to become greener ourselves by moving to a smaller place. Much smaller.
Our office at UW Research Park is a virtual office. We will share common spaces, like conference rooms, with other tenants and have access to administrative services but won't have a store front office like we do now. As needed, we'll gather there for meetings and presentations. Other times, we'll meet at the client's location as often happens now. But on many days, technology will let us work from our home offices. All of which will help us reduce our footprint on the world without sacrificing the creative ideas and superior service that define The WIDGET Source.
